Beekeeping for Farmers: Get Pollinating!

State College, PA - On Friday, June 26, the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA) will offer a program on Beekeeping for Farmers: Get Pollinating! at Half Acre Farm in State College. The event will run from 10:00am-3:00pm (lunch is included) and costs $15 for PASA members and $25 for all others. Learn how integrating bees into your farming practice can help nurture successful pollination on your farm. Discover the tenets of sustainable beekeeping, natural comb, IPM & reduced pesticide practices, less-intrusive hive management, and genetic diversity, and discuss various apian threats including mites and Colony Collapse Disorder.
